Classic Mixtapes: Kanye West -Get Well Soon & I’m Good

Posted on April 9, 2008 by Andrew Barber

I was perusing the web today, checking out my daily blogs and lo and behold I stumbled upon the old Kanye West Behind The Beats Mixtape (presented by Plain Pat and Ferris Bueller, of course) floating around and people seemed pretty excited about it.  Behind the Beats dropped before Kanye was the global-super-megastar that he is today, so I figured I’d add my two cents and post two Kanye mixtapes that came out around the same time:  Get Well Soon and I’m Good.

I actually purchased all three of these mixtapes (remember when you actually had to pay for them?) at the now defunct Tony’s Sports under the Red Line on Sheridan.  This was right around the time the “Through the Wire” video debuted on BET & MTV (Summer ’03, I believe).
