Video: Taylor Bennett Live @ Reggie’s

Posted on December 24, 2013 by Ty Howard

Shot and chopped by Thelonious Stokes and Brooklyn Wheeler.

Taylor Bennett took over Reggie’s this past Friday for his first ever headlining show, which was actually sold out a month before the show. Tokyo Shawn, Noname Gypsy, Supreme Regime and The Palmer Squares also hit the stage that night, making it an event you shouldn’t have missed out on. There were also plenty of special guests in the building as well — Saba, Joey Purp, Vic Mensa and Taylor’s older brother Chance The Rapper, who joined Taylor onstage while he closed set with “Rolling With The Gods”. Taylor says:

“The show was crazy, it was packed. It was my first headlining show so it was way more than a 17-year-old from Chicago could expect, to have all those people there to see me. We got the best people coming up in Chicago to open, and it was crazy, everybody there really rocked their set and kept things entertaining, it was a great night for Chicago hip-hop.”

We couldn’t agree more. If you missed the show, make sure you’re at the next one and check out the recap video above.
