Last night, Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam was a spectacle per usual. G-Unit reunion, onstage robberies, high profile cameos — you know, the norm. However, it was pretty quiet for Chicago, despite the fact that we’re one of the hottest cities in rap at the moment.
The Chi did have a big moment, however, when Nicki Minaj brought Lil Herb to the stage to perform their controversial collabo “Chiraq.” Herb handled the cameo like a boss, so well that you’d think he’d performed in front of 80,000 people before.
