In the wake of Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records announcement, there’s more drama unfolding in the camp. Chicago rapper and Rich Gang affiliated, JoJo Capone of the legendary Global Gangsters says that MMG frontman Rick Ross stole the title “Hood Billionaire” from him and his Global Gangsters crew.
In an interview with Doggie Diamonds of Forbez DVD JoJo Capone says, “We have a moniker that we’ve been known for in the streets for years. ‘Hood Billionaires’ is what we addressed ourselves as.” He goes on to talk about a mixtape Rick Ross approached him to do but never came about.
JoJo Capone and the Global Gangsters are a coalition of rappers stemming from the streets of Chicago. Aside from Capone’s affiliation with Birdman and the Rich Gang, the crew has worked with the likes of Benzino, Future, Pusha T and of course “I’m A Hustla” with none other than Rick Ross.
