As No ID begins to take on a bigger role at G.O.O.D. Music, he’s slowly but surely bringing in more talents to help with their ever-growing roster. Apparently, he’s recruited his close friend, Don Cannon, to be a part of the greatness.
Hopefully, Cannon will put extra emphasis on the GLC project. It’s incredible and needs to be made a priority, in my opinion. The sky is really the limit for a lot of things now that Dion and Don are working with G.O.O.D.
Staying true to his name, Don Cannon is literally blowing up. The Philadelphia born, Atlanta-based DJ/producer recently told XXLMag.com he is lending his talents to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label.
The former Aphilliates member, who has has been making a name for himself behind the boards for a while now, has caught the ear of Kanye’s mentor. “No I.D. is basically helping Kanye take over and run [G.O.O.D.] and help getting these artists in the right shape so they can blow up,” Cannon explained. “You know Kid Cudi is very talented. You got Mr. Hudson who is very talented. You got Big Sean who is very talented. So we just need help working on these artists and No I.D. was like, “Yo, you’re crazy. I’m beat and you know we’re good friends as it is already so as I finish up some of these projects with Kanye, you should help me—come and work on these projects. Help them get done.”
“That’s the focus right now—bringing that marketing back to these artists and giving them the chance to blow up,” Cannon continued. “It’s very hard out here in the climate of music so every team needs it and I’m bringing my DJ and producing expertise to that whole situation that would give it a new spin.”
