The latest leak off Palm’s Dirty Girls Like Dirty beats mixtape that drops everywhere next Tuesday (August 3rd).   He’s had a few solid leaks thus far, including a Prolyfic produced banger and his official single “What’s Yo Name”.   Check back for the full project on Tuesday.  The road to fame is a bumpy one, but Palm is definitely en route…

Chip Comes Bearing Gifts

| July 30, 2010 | 3 Comments

Chip: The man singlehandedly responsible for reviving the phrase “dip-shit,” packed the Wild Hare last night to perform some oldies along with several tracks from he and Chuck Inglish’s highly anticipated “Gift Raps.” Several familiar faces were around for support and the crowd went absolutely ham for anything Cleveland Show related. It’s late… so for now you get my favorite track off Skooda’s TFM2 Mixtape. Consider this a stocking stuffer.

MarVo feat. Bo Deal – F*** A Hater

My sentiments exactly.

New music from Vo and Bo.  A new duo?  VoDeal?*  I like it.

*I just made that up, there’s no duo.  Yet.

Lupe Fiasco & Prolyfic Squash Beef

| July 29, 2010 | 10 Comments

It looks like cooler heads prevailed and Lupe Fiasco and Prolyfic have squasted their longstanding beef.  I’m happy to see this had a postive outcome as I’m a fan of both camps and would love to see them work together again.  Is it a possibility?  Well, we shall see.   Either way, clap for ‘em for taking the grown man route.

Here’s a still from Kanye’s upcoming video for “Power”.  One pic and one pic only.  At least I see where he was going with that 300-esque figure he posted on his site the other day.  Walk like an Egyptian, no?

FSD Giveaway: Tickets For Chip Tha Ripper Tonight @ Wild Hare

| July 29, 2010 | 3 Comments

Tonight (7/29), Cleveland’s dopest MC (yeah, I said it) takes over the Wild Hare in Chicago as part of his Gift Raps tour in support of his album of the same name.  The show is 18+ and the doors open at 8:30pm.  I’m told that all the pre-sale tickets are sold out and there will only be a handful of tix at the door as this puppy is basically a wrap.  Get there EARLY if you want to get in.  Chip also has an in-store at JUGRNAUT from 4-6pm.

Anyhoo, I do have a pair to give away to the FSD readers.  You can either email me (look it up) or hit me on Twitter to answer.

What Chicago MC did Chip collabo with for an ode to a Ralph Lauren Clothing line, and what’s the name of the song?  Easy cheese, I know…
