Mixtape: Roosevelt Treasurechest x Russell Simmons

Andrew Barber

Back with more mixtape goodness for you, this time from local DJ, journalist and Hip-Hop guru Roosevelt Treasurechest, titled A Poor Craftsman Always Blames His Tools, featuring Russell Simmons.

The mix done in conjunction with Bandit Productions fuses excerpts of an interview Roosevelt did with Russell Simmons with material from such current and previous Def Jam artists as Kanye West, Jay-Z, the Beastie Boys, 3rd Bass and Method Man – a look back and forward at the Def Jam legacy.

Roosevelt also began Hip-Hop website Soundslam.com, but is now working on another venture that I’ll have more info on in the near future. Stay tuned.
