Video: Fabolous + Rosa Acosta + Angela Lola Luv in Chicago

Posted on March 30, 2010 by Andrew Barber

Sunday night, a handful of out-of-town celebs touched down in Chicago for various events. Waka Flocka, Cam’Ron, Fabolous and the lovely Rosa Acosta were all in the ‘Go for private parties.

Here P. Noble caught some footage of Fab, Rosa and Lola at Loso’s show at Crobar. Chicagoans such as Cold Hard and the Bishop Don “Magic” Juan were also on hand to celebrate. Cam does not make an appearance in the video, but I guess he was in the building as well.

Sean Mac n Lungz crews looked rediculous with all those bottles. I was there. This party lacked substance. Just young people blowin money with celebs that don't care about them. Looked like studio 54 2010.
Chicago is working class town…..not ny or atl.

I find it funny how people always got to comment about how black people spend their money, yet don't say shit about white people and their extravagant spending habits. So what if Lungz and Sean Mac's camps were poppin bottles. Maybe they wanted to have some fun.

"I find it funny how people always got to comment about how black people spend their money, yet don't say shit about white people and their extravagant spending habits."

LOL….this is an uneducated niggas comment. But Im gonna school his dumb ass. Firstly, black people SHOULD be criticized and analyzed on how they foolishly spend their money because the black community has the worse economic system in the country. Black people lack in ownership in all areas in their community, we have the highest property renting rate, we dont own the majority of businesses in our communities, we are quick to finance brand new vehicles on high interest loans and go in debt, we spend our money on frivelous bullshit made by companies that arent transferring money back into our micro-economy AKA the black community. Nike doesnt invest in the black people that have made them mega mega rich, Ralph Lauren doesnt, nor does any of these other fuckin huge corporations….Basically blacks dont invest their money, they waste their money but always complain about how shit aint right….well nigga if you wasnt trying to pretend to be a 'baller' at John Monopoly's modern day coon fest, you wouldnt be broke. They are criticized because instead of buying rims, cars, clothes, shoes, making it rain, buyin champagne in the club we should be saving that money and investing it in business ventures that create jobs for OTHER blacks who should turn around and do the same….its called an ECONOMY.

Black people always want to party but we have the least to party about.

"yet don't say shit about white people and their extravagant spending habits"

White people do whatever they want to with money freely because they as a group own every fuckin thing and the average white person is financially educated before they even hit college. Their communities are so prosperous that even the most bullshit businesses survive and thrive "Katies Boutique for Pet Turtles" <—-you see dumbshit like that all day in Lincoln Park, but you never see anything like that on the southside….because it wouldnt make it to the end of the fiscal month- fuck a year. White people in America focus is ownership and control while black people focus on appearances and instant gratification. Think about that for a week.

I had the pleasure of recording Angle Lola Love at my studio when the AC was out, so she decided to take her shirt off. Just a Nike sports bra! She is more beautiful in person. She also has some good emcee skills, if you like hot chicks rapping about sex acts. Also, to the comment above, "Katies Boutique for Pet Turtles" in a Lincoln park institute.

I feel you on many of you arguments. However, I feel that on a continuum of agency and structure, you are too quick to take an agency perspective and blame the person. I, ideologically fall much closer on the structural side of things and take a system blame approach. Bill Cosby seems to be a strong advocate of an agency perspective when he tells black people to pull up their pants up, stop speaking "black english," and stop buying rims for their automobiles. We both have the same end goal in mind. However, you want to criticize the person and I want to get to the root of the problem (all of which you agree with). When you blame black people and not structural problems specifically, you fall dangerousely close to reinforcing the maeriocratic ideology that is so false and come close to a cultural deficit model.

Now ruminate on that for a month

I recommend you read my mentor Michael Eric Dyson's book Is Bill Cosby right? Or has the black middle class lost its mind. I actually read it a couple years after obtaining my PhD.

your mentor is a clown Michael Eric Dyson…never. So what is your point? your PHD has failed you if you dont see my point as pure truth. The system is the system, you cant expect the system to cater itself to the needs of one group within it, thats ridiculous and an unrealistic expectation. Michael Eric Dyson is a finger pointer, thats the pussy way out always, any REAL man will tell you to always look in the mirror first. At some point personal responsibility is a must. We need to examine the problem and come up with realistic solutions at some point. The black community is avoiding issues while simultaneously bullshitting. To blame the terrain is ridiculous, maybe in Jim Crow days this would have been a reasonable answer, but in 2010 its ridiculous. When Nigerian and Ghana immigrants come to this country every fucking day and make millions owning gas stations, 7-11's and every entrepreneurial venture you can name, you want to tell me that there is a problem with the structure!!!??? Are they not black?? So that right there blows you and your "mentors" theory out the water. This is a psychological issue that African Americans as individuals and as a community must deal with. Dude open your eyes you're over thinking and listening to too many professors and silly opportunists like Eric Dyson.
