I’ve been waiting on some new Vic Mensah for a while now. This kid is in high school and is nicer than some of your favorites (for real). This joint is from his band Kids These Days, who I saw live at the Every Drop Counts Haiti Benefit a few months back. I’ve definitely got my eye on them.
Here’s the first leak off their debut album, which is slated for an August release. They rework Common’s “Be”. Kids these days, I tell you.
