First and foremost I’d like to welcome our newest addition to the FSD team, Ms. Laura Mitchell, who makes her FSD debut today. She’ll be handling a lot of our interview and hosting duties, and will be playing a big part in a major venture we’re about to embark on. You can expect details on said venture very, very soon.
Now back to business. Big Boi of the legendary duo Outkast was recently in the Chi for an album listening session for his upcoming release, Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty, which is due out next Tuesday (July 6th) on Def Jam. This project has been a long time coming, and I know I speak for a lot of people when I say I’ve been waiting on this one for years. Big was always my favorite member of the duo (yeah I said it), who ranked at the top of my favorite emcees list for years. His verses on tracks like “Benz or A Beamer“, “Return of the G”, and “13th Floor” , (just to name a few) have cemented him as one of the all time greats to bless the mic.
On the verge releasing his first solo album, we caught up with Mr. Patton at CRC Studios to discuss the title of the project, the videos for both “Shutterbug” and “General Patton” , his love for bowling, why Jive blocked Dre’s guest features, being signed to Def Jam and Maurice Garland’s Creative Loafing article . He also reveals that the Dungeon Family is working on new material, including new tracks from Goodie Mob and announces his hopes to work with Kanye West.

You’re right “Fun Fun”. Maybe I can sign up for one of your spelling and grammar classes? That’s a better way to spend my time, I’d assume.
What does it have to do with Chi-town? It was in Chicago… Duh. Interviews of anyone about performances in your city are free game…
Good stuff. A-Town to Chi-Town
