Twista feat. Chris Brown – Make A Movie

Posted on August 8, 2010 by Andrew Barber

Produced by The Legendary Traxster

Not sure this one was supposed to leak yet, but hey, that’s how it goes on the internets.

Twista recruits Breezy for his official first single (“I Do” was the warm up) off The Perfect Storm, which is due out this Fall.  Team Twista played me this track when they previewed The Perfect Storm for me a while back and the original version featured T-Pain.  Looks like he was bounced in favor of CB.  And cut…

Twista feat. Chris Brown – Make A Movie

Update: T-Pain was bounced from the single due to clearance issues.  I happen to like this version better anyway, honestly.  The Perfect Storm‘s official release date is October 5th 26th.

In French… garbage. Why the fuck does everything sound like a mixtape now-a-days? AND why the FUCK is Traxster… a 15+ year veteran in the gam, need to whisper or even say his name on the track? He is getting so thirsty… you never heard that shit 10 years ago! I heard a sample noise that I heard in “I wanna sex you up” and a timbaland-ish beat… Shit dont sound Chicago at all. And why Twista Gotta introduce each song… like a mixtape? Have we forgotten the art of how to put an album… a whole continuous body of work out? A project, not a mixtape… everyone has this new syndrome… and Twista is so concerned with keepin up with the styles that he has lost himself… oh, and that autotune shit, so 2008! Shit is dated and borrowed. Twista… Traxster, coming from a die hard fan and Chicago rap Historian, you all have officially fell off. I’m not gone get this shit from the flea market anymore, I doubt I’ll even burn it. Top 5 Garbage Material… Read my past posts in your Album Previews if you want to win Chicago back. You will forever be compared to your best body of work… no, not Overnight Celebrity, Adrenaline Rush… the 1st one. Play that shit, even young teens know all the words… play your new shit… people panic to find the fm/am button…. When does that Vakill Album drop…

… AND this album is supposed to drop the same month as Kanye album= FAIL! Fat Joe will do better numbers than Twista… still can’t understand why Traxster feel he needs to whisper his name on every fuckin’ track now-a-days, he never used to do that shit… 15+ years in the game and you still feel unrecognized? Twista don’t even rap fast anymore, He has no depth, no lyrics… and when he does rap “fast” now he has to use “Jessus of Nazzereth, Lyrical, analyst, cannabis, spectacular” lol, same old garbage ass rhymes, I remember you used to have to slow it down and it would take years to understand the lyrics, then say them. Officially fell off. Oh, and I need to get my $2.00 back from ol boy who sold me Twista last album, I could have used that money on toe nail clippers.

Just for the sake of argument, listen to Twista’s Unsolved Mystery and his verses on Mob Niggaz Don’t Die… and even Emotions. Is the Do I/Make a Movie Twista the same game spittin’ ho flippin pimp as nigga Twista as that old shit? Yes, times change, sounds change, but this is official fell off material. That cannot be argued period!

@Anon, first of all, I am a Chicago Rap Historian. Not only do I have the Belo album, but I have Do or Die’s shit since back when they were local… before Po Pimp. But, Yea, I have the Belo album… but Trax been whispering his name on shit since before then… ever since the Do or Die album D.O.D. but he started to get real arrogant (on record at least) when Twista left CWAL and he had that compilation album C.W.A.L. Ballaz… but before that, starting with Psycho Drama and from Twista’s Resurrection album, E C Illa’s early shit and D 2 Tha S, he was never on that shit… at some point producers felt unrecognized and decided to be a part of the track… besides the beats. Pre 1999 you would actually have to buy the record and look up the credits to know who did the track, but usually the artist you fucked with kept the same camp, one sound, so you knew who did the beat… no need for the producer arrogant thirst on a track. I come from a different musical era obviously… and a whole ‘nother Chicago musical era… If you want to call me out, do your homework…. gotta go back further fuckin’ wit me rookie.

… Imagine a country, rock, gospel, or R & B (old school R & B) producer screaming his name on the track… comparatively, it makes rap producers look thirsty as hell– I blame the Mixtape Dj’s for this.. that used to be some east coast shit; mixtapes, screaming on tracks etc. The new generation has forgot what music sounds like and how to make it… I’m done fuckin wit y’all. Twista new album is garbage…

I must admit, i was late off the block wit this one. now ive heard it, i most defo got to have Chiefj4’s back on this. Although im a London, England sider, Ive had Twista in my RECORD (not just CD) collection from a little before his “Who Am I” collab with Timbo (1998 i think). As u guys all seem to hail from Chi Town, it baffles me that ME who has never been state-side has to tell you that with the exception of 1 or 2 scattered track off each of his albums, Twista fell off from his “Kamikaze” joint….sorry. Since then the ONLY album that i was ever so slightly impressed by was “Category F5”.
Also…i cant stand when producers/DJ’s (ie puffy, timbo, swiss, trax, the list goes on) advertise themselves verbally at the begining of a track whether its shit or not. ITS NOT NECESSARY……unless your up and coming. I dont aim to offend, and i wish twista could capture his former glory because the game needs it. We all no the words to emotions, po’pimpin, get it wet, wetter, and of course Who Am I. we need some new but classic shit pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase.

B.Ford. Im not about to get into a war of words with you as my knowledge of this particular subject will leave you curled up in a corner wondering why you fucked wit me (pardon my language). I know what i know and that final. I aint “hating” (as you so beautifully put it), because I actually like twista for the classics he has given us in times past. I just get annoyed when people with natual talent dont bother using it just because they made a couple of music videos with t-pain and/or kanye west. IF and when he (as i said in my first post) returns to his former glory and pushes himself to show us his hunger for his chosen proffession, believe me I will be first in line (probably in front of you) to pay good money for it. I dare say you probably wouldnt pay for it anyway…We call guys like you “Knock-Off-Nigels”.

PS. Only a NIGGA would call a BLACK MAN a nigga. Fuck you.

This joint is….FIRE!! SMDH….Chicago is a city full of Haters I mean DAMN!! “Why does Traxster have to whisper his name?” Because it’s called “Reinventing The Wheel” DUMBASS!!! Traxster has new fans especially with the “My Chick Bad” single going platinum so give him a break!! But, nevermind….this is my city and ladies and gentlemen…”Chicago Hates You..” That is all.

To Elementz Emcee “Reinventing the wheel” – Was that before or after his “my Chick Bad” single went PLATINUM? Do you think his new fans bought it because he said his name at the begining OR because the track was good (or in your words, FIRE)?

    Just a thought.

Also its good to see that B.Ford is keeping his keyboard SHUT! hahahahaha….dick!
