A couple of days ago I incorrectly printed that Lupe Fiasco’s Lasers Chicago Celebration still had tickets for sale. Welp, that was wrong, as the event quickly sold out within a matter of hours. Oops. Those same dedicated fans are largely responsible for Lupe Fiasco’s recent success on Billboard. ”LASERS” Lupe’s 3rd studio album debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 charts, selling 204,000 copies in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan. It also debuted on ITunes at #1, #2 and #6 on its March 8th release date and now Chicago fans are elated to celebrate the success of the album with their hometown hero. “LASERS” marks Lupe’s first #1 Soundscan album and the second highest debut so far for 2011 as a result of its first week sales.

I actually went to the show. I was kicked out because I jumped on the the stage, grabbed a mic, and asked where thehell Lupe was. Needless to say, I was quickly escorted out of the House of Blues in Chicago. Lupe totally dissapointed his fans. If you weren’t there, you didn’t miss anything.
Lupe was amazing for the 20 min that he performed, but if that was you that was carried off of the stage, you were the best thing to happen till Lupe came out.
