Lupe Fiasco’s “The Show Goes On” Hits Platinum

Posted on April 13, 2011 by Andrew Barber

You almost have to shed tears of joy for the simple fact that Lupe didn’t even want to make this song, and it could possibly be his biggest selling single ever.

Says LupEnd

Just a few weeks after going Gold, it has been reported by ChartNews that ‘The Show Goes On’ has officially passed the 1 million mark in digital sales! Alongside ‘Superstar’, it has now become Lupe’s second platinum single. Congratulations!!

Thank the Atantic label for forcing him to make that song. Looks like they were right for intervening.

This is good for dude but we can all expect further selling out from Lupe after all of this. Lupe doesn’t have the conviction of Immortal Technique or any other revolutionary.
