From Gary to Homewood.
I’m pretty sure everyone has heard Gangsta Gibbs’ “Live By The Game”, one of my favorite tracks from his Str8 Killa EP. Well, did you know that the track shares the same sample as Rockie Fresh’s “Feelin’ Good”? I’m sure most of you might have missed that. Con Funk Shun’s “Love On Your Mind” is the song used and both tracks flip it quite nicely. I’m not sure who produced Rockie’s joint (my guess is The Cartoonz), but I do know that Gibbs’ track was provided by the Block Beataz (of “Rollin'” fame). Who’s track flipped it better, though? “Live By The Game” gets my vote, but I’ve included all of the tracks for you to listen to for yourself. Feel free to sound off below.
Con Funk Shun – “(Let Me Put) Love On Your Mind”
