There should be no reason this album was held up for this long.. why?.. so the dj can shout on every song?.. somee of these tracks are years old.. unless the final track was recorded less than a month ago.. this should of dropped more than a year ago.. ive been waiting for that song called “Im whats happening” for years now to be released in full.. when it does come out .. i gotta hear v-dub’s fat ass yelling on it… So disappointing…

I don’t understand people’s beef w/ the DJ. He’s barely there, pretty much only on the beginning each song. I’ve heard MUCH worse when it comes to DJs all over the tracks on Mixtape. Anyways the mixtape is solid and I’m very glad that the wait is over. A lil surprised that the entire Psychodrama group wasn’t featured on a track.
Dont get me wrong.. Buk’s a top 5 rapper in my book.. i was just expecting more from the long wait.. mixtape is dope but i just have a personal gripe with dj’s fukkin songs being on every track.. shit urks me.. plus if i would of put this out for buk I would had it out more than a year ago with more than 50 mins of music on it.. with all kinds of exclusives like interview skits & remakes of old classics like magic.. someone really needs to get psychodrama back in the lab to record a present day version of classics like magic.. the old recording sounds like shit today.. laying new vocals over old classics would be too raw.. & yet so easy to do..

This just goes to show you that 1) LYRICS are still the most important in Hip Hop music! 2) Buk been in the game for almost 20 yrs and he’s still a LETHAL WEAPON! 3) Buk is definitely top 5 dead or alive. Tech N9ne needs to bring him to Strange Music or Bun B needs to put him on the album.

2. I can see why diehard PsychoDrama fans don’t wanna hear a DJ in the background, BUT, this is 2011 and it’s common mutha-fu*k*n practice! Respect Buk 1st off and show more damn love for this release as a whole, and secondly respect the Mixtape Bully for puttin’ in hours of grind to complete this project!
3. Too many damn haters in Chicago focus on the small sh*t in the music scene. BIG PICTURE put on our talented ARTISTS – DJS- STUDIOS damnitt !!!!!!!!!
Actually, it’s common practice to release No Dj versions of mixtapes nowadays. I love Buk and the DJ is too fucking prominent. I don’t wanna hear his ass yelling all over songs that sound great. And loose the cuts and the soundeffects too. Shit is simply annoying.
Buk can carry a “mixtape” on his own. That DJ is simply not needed at all.
That being said, I’m happy to hear from Buk. The songs sound insane.
I still cant enjoy this mixtape because of the dj yelling and the necessary sound effects… any no dj version out yet ??
