Simply amazing. Director Chris Casino put together this great documentary about Chicago hip-hop legend Isadore Pink a.k.a. PinkHouse, entitled Do You Remember.
A few years ago I tried to put together an oral history of PinkHouse and his contribution to Chicago hip-hop, but it didn’t get off the ground. Luckily, Casino was able to capture a lot of what Pink did and get many of the key players to speak on him and his legacy. This is a must watch–it’s not even up for debate. PinkHouse is one of, if not, the most important figures in Chi rap history. Pay respect.
