Hip-hop’s reigning kings of fast rap, who have shockingly similar names, drop their long-awaited battle track: “Can You Keep Up?” Both of these guys went in, so you be the judge on who outrapped who. Or just enjoy the track.
Rumor has it these two have about half a dozen joints in the can, but only time will tell if we’ll ever see an EP.

FOLLOW ME @DAREALUNCLESAM
not feelin the beat ..
Garbage. Lets keep it real, why would you make a song called “can you keep up” when you’ve won the guinness book of world records for your talent? Everybody know you rap fast.
In terms of who killed who, I hate to say it, but Busta killed Twista in terms of rapping fast, Twista got Busta on the lyrics. But, none of them were really saying shit at all. Busta just rapped garbage shit fast, and Twista don’t even rap fast anymore. He’ll rap something quickly for 3 seconds then take a break, all of his music dating back at least 6 years have this same flow pattern and i’m surprised nobody else has called him out on this, he got the same flow pattern, and he really don’t rap fast anymore. There are young guns that are at Twista’s head that could smoke him in a rapping fast contest and content contest.
This song aint hittin on shit. Garbage.

Ms Kane…?
SOOO TRUE!!! Twisted insane, Tommy Gunz Da Don, crucified are just a few
@ChiefJ4: I feel where you’re coming from, there’s no real message in this track or content, but to say that its garbage is a bit much. The flows on this are crazy! If Twista isn’t spitting fast, what is he doing, rapping slow?
My problem is that i keep comparing Twista to his old self. Yea, I agree, Twista is rapping “fast” on this track, but its nothing that sets him apart from the game, how his earlier shit did. He used to have a unique and unmatched flow pattern/lyrics/content/clarity/style/syllables/rymes. For example, you can hear every word clearly on “Unsolved Mystories” but try to spit it exactly like Twista does… that’s the difference, now, even i can spit all his shit with ease.
Have you ever heard twista try to spit his old shit at a concert? back in the day you would swear it was lip synching the way he was on point, now, B-Hype gotta carry much of the load.
Twista has fell off, he don’t rap fast anymore, and he is not in his own lane, as he used to be. If you are honest with yourself, there is no argument against that. Hell, Sinna from Tre Sins can get with Twista, not lyrically, but in terms of fast rap, Twista is a has been- and i’m only being critical to challenge Twista. People always think my posts are hate, but think about it. I wouldn’t post my disgust for his more recent work if i didnt think he was capable of more… better.

… Are you not critcal of your favorite players, who are still in the game, know they can do better, but just dont? kobe? vick? wade? This is no different than when you criticize your favorite actor, sports player, etc etc. If you gone stay in the game, then play ball. You will always be compared to your prime, don’t keep the name Twista if you can’t live up to it anymore, toast it up to age, and bow out.

He’s more like kobe or jordan.. he got his rings already.. the guy’s in his late 30’s probably.. he dont have to prove shit besides make hot songs.. about 95% of his shit wangs.. so whats theproblem..
I understand your point. Unsolved Mystery is actually saying something. I feel you, its kinda like my argument with Jay-Z. Yeah, hes technically better than a lot, but compared to himself, he’s nowhere close to Reasonable Doubt Hov. We have to be critical, its a good point. Why should we allow people to get a pass just because of their past? I used to love Allen Iverson, and from a critical standpoint he never really got better as a player, he just remained really good at scoring, but he never really grew as a player like Kobe did or Jordan did. Its not hate at all, its love for the craft/person to point it out. Good point.
Realtlk.. twista gonna be like 65 yrs old still making hot shit.. my predixtion.. hes one of them guys that wont quit n will never lose his touch.. bless that nigga…
@ RealTalk I understand your point too, but if Kobe or Jordan ever said, “you know what, I have over 3 rings, I can just play ball and take it easy…” it would ruin the game. They wouldn’t push it further. The point is that making a good song is a good thing, but push yourself in the process to be better than you were. Thats what makes the good song a great song. Plus you push the culture forward. Its really about the culture, or the game if we’re using the sports analogy, its bigger than the individual.
Well .. imo.. i feel like the new shit hes put out is just as great if not better than the classic shit.. i feel that he has perfected his style & musically his shit is much better than 96′.. he can make gangsta, laid back chill shit, lyrical shit, hop back pack shit, pimp shit, smokin shit, thinking shit, pop shit, etc… He probably the most vetsatile rapper ivr ever heard… Hes done songs with everyone from lil kim to newsence.. from traxter to too short… ludacris to cap1.. & shines everytime… Im very impressed…
Ultimately, Twista will not be judged on who he collab’d with. And there is no way in hell you can compare anything after Kamakazee to anything prior to that, you are lying to yourself if you feel that way!
Again, listen to Twista try to rap his own shit, he has lost a step. He need to take breathing lessons, get that wind back, and really put that shit down how he used to. If Twista really spit that shit, no features, and if so, only Chicago, and only one producer, one sound, of a full complete body of work, and really put it down, lyrics, unique style, impossible to repeat rapid flow, clearity, content, stories, Chicago pimp/gang bangin/hustlin shit, Twista would honestly shut down the game. That’s what we’re all waiting on, and we know he can do it, and its what you look forward to in each of his songs, but he never delivers, back in the day, you KNEW a Twista feature was gone get murdered! Listen to his last verse on “mob niggaz dont die” and compare it to this song. THAT’S the difference, and you a damn fool if you dont see/admit that! Twista would shut shit down if he really showed people where the shit came from and who the originator really is, and put on for Chicago, but i’m not sure if we’ll ever get that from him….
