Lil Durk Released From Prison, Speaks To FSD

FSD: What about the Til I’m Free mixtape that was supposed to drop while you were locked up? Is that still coming out? I guess it really doesn’t make sense now…

Lil Durk: I ain’t really feeling that project. I put a stop to that one — I think that was kinda rushed. I wanna make sure I put out my best material, I ain’t rushin’. So nah, that ain’t comin’ out.

FSD: Have you been in contact with Def Jam?

Lil Durk: I talked to them everyday while I was locked up. They were calling to check on me, make sure I was good. Once my P.O. (parole officer) comes and says I can move around, I’ll be heading out to meet with them.

FSD: You aren’t on house arrest or anything are you?

Lil Durk: Nah, I ain’t on no kind of confinement.

FSD: On the new project, will you be working with Paris Beuller and Young Chop again? Or will you be working with new producers?

Lil Durk: I’m in the studio right now with Beuller. We’re gonna do it all over again.

FSD: So we had to ask — since they made you shave off your dreads, are you gonna grow them back?

Lil Durk: [Laughs.] Yeah they made me shave them, but Twitter said they don’t care about it. I’m actually gonna rock out with this new look for a little bit.

FSD: What are your thoughts on I’m Still A Hitta being ranked the number one Chicago mixtape by Fake Shore Drive?

Lil Durk: Ah that was love, man. My boys told me about that one.

FSD: Anything else?

Lil Durk: O.T.F. on the rise. If you ain’t supporting me and the Lil Durk movement then fuck you. You can put the Free Lil Durk shirts away and put on the Finally Free shirts.
