This week we’re focusing on A-Villa, someone we’ve wanted to cover for quite some time. Hailing from the Southside and Eastside of Chicago, A-Villa is a bank vice president turned producer who has already put in work with some of the best MCs in the game. He started making beats in 2009 and a year later he won a high profile producer competition where he was discovered by Chicago’s own Mikkey Halsted.
Currently, A-Villa is working on his long-awaited and eagerly anticipated producer album titled Live From The Villa, which features over 40 artists over A-Villa’s production. Artists who jumped down on Live From The Villa include Big K.R.I.T., Noreaga, Action Bronson, Freddie Gibbs, Joe Budden, Kool G. Rap, GLC, Mikkey Halsted and many other surprise guests. In addition to that project, he has been putting in more future placement work with the likes of Tony Touch, Willie The Kid, Roc Marciano, Elzhi and others. So lookout for the album and everything else Villa is set to drop in 2013.
