2. Lupe Fiasco “Strange Fruition” [Prod. by Soundtrakk]
Lupe is at his best over Sountrakk’s production. Their work together has been scarce since Soundtrakk handled the bulk of The Cool (there last collabo outside of that was “S.L.R.”), and although ‘Trakk only pops up on one track on F&L2, “Strange Fruition” is an early favorite from the project, and sets the tone for the album. This is a return to form for Lupe, and a middle finger to anyone claiming he fell off with Lasers. More work from these two is needed and proves that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
