Video: Mountain Dew Introduces Us To More Windy City Superstars

Posted on September 25, 2012 by Ty Howard

Mountain Dew continues their This Is How We Dew Chicago campaign with Complex Magazine with two new videos featuring Vic Lloyd of LDRS1354, Treated Crew, Sir Michael Rocks and Kids These Days.  The campaign is part of the DEWeezy launch, and also to celebrate a Chicago-centric can that is being sold specifically in the Chicagoland area.

Via Complex:

The videos above and below, produced by Mtn Dew and Complex, provide invaluable instruction in how Chicago gets down on the music and fashion fronts. First, we get to hear from Vic Lloyd and the Treated Crew, representing not just their own unique style, but that of Leaders 1354, Chicago’s hottest streetwear vendor for the past 10 years. Kanye has rocked the Treated cap (or “crown” as they refer to it) and it is clear that this crew is hugely influential in the Chi.

In the second video, we hear from the next generation via rapper Sir Michael Rocks and members of the alternative hip-hop/rock group Kids These Days. Hear them talk about Chicago’s artistic scene, which encompasses everything from graphic and fine art to all genres of music. It is clear that these cats love their hometown.

You can check out the previous videos featuring FSD’s own Andrew Barber, Chance The Rapper, Joey Cacciatore of Lacuna 2150 Studios and artist Hebru Brantley here.
