Video: Freddie Gibbs Debuts “Shorty Wanna Be A Thug” In NY

Posted on January 31, 2013 by Ty Howard

“I know Rick Ross, the real Rick Ross” – Gibbs

Gangsta Gibbs’ show at NYC’s Santos Party House wasn’t one to miss last night as he not only put on a pretty dope show, but he debuted some new music. Gibbs decided to give the crowd a preview of a new record entitled “Shorty Wanna Be A Thug”, which utilizes Onyx’s “Last Dayz” instrumental.

Word has it that the record originally featured Young Jeezy, but there’s no telling if his verse is on the final version. Judging from the quick clip above, Gibbs isn’t playing. Hopefully, we’ll get to hear this one in mp3 form soon. Rememeber — Eastside Slim is on the way and be sure to cop your tickets to catch Gibbs at the Red Bull Sound Select/FSD show next Thursday. Tickets are only $3 and the bill also features Tree, Sasha Go Hard & ShowYouSuck. Cop tickets and peep the details here.
