Mixtape: C. Rich – Certified Organic

This is more of an EP than a sampler, but damn if samplers aren’t missed. Way back in the dark ages, it was a blessing to get your hands on a sampler of an upcoming album. You could grab them at select record stores (in the free box), and often times they’d be included with your purchase of a Source Magazine or Rap Pages or something. Sometimes you’d even luck out and the sampler would have full songs, but most of the time it was just snippets. Label compilations, soundtracks, individual artists — man, I had some good samplers. All on cassette for the most part.

Here I go again waxing poetic about another topic. Let’s get back to the lecture at hand. This is a new mini-project from C. Rich, a producer, singer and songwriter from the Southside of the Chi. Vic Spencer and D2G show up to lend a helping hand.  Stream and download below.
