The first week numbers are in for Yeezus, and the project moved an impressive 328,800 units. No single, no video, no radio play — not to mention it was the leak heard round the world. However, it is down from MBDTF‘s 496,000 opening in 2010. The most surprising thing about these sales numbers, is just how close the gap between Born Sinner and Yeezus was — just over 30k between the two. Definitely have to tip my hat to Cole on that.
This is also the first time since 2006 that three hip-hop albums sold over 100,000 copies and landed in the top 5. Impressive stuff.
FINAL: 1 KANYE WEST 328,800 YEEZUS 2 J. COLE 297,922 BORN SINNER 3 MAC MILLER 101,795 WMWTSO 4 KELLY ROWLAND 65,913 TALK A GOOD GAME

Meanwhile Chief Keef sold 4 copies of Finally Rich and paid $10k to World Star for fake views.
