One of my absolute favorite records of the year finally gets the visual it has long needed. Tokyo Shawn and Joey Purp’s damn near perfect “World Turning,” which was produced by Caleb James, is a record that you should stop what you’re doing and listen to immediately if you haven’t already.
The Erykah Badu-sampled work of art needed a vivid video to bring the record to life, and the Verluxe ladies more than delivered here. You’re gonna need to step up your wardrobe budget after pressing play. Tokyo Shawn’s Wave Theory is due out some time in the near future. SaveMoney, y’all.
