Tree – The @MCTREEG EP
Tree had a fantastic 2013. What with his Sunday School 2 making waves, and his critically acclaimed performance at Pitchfork, things were definitely looking up for the Soul Trap creator. But it was clear from speaking with Tree and reading his tweets that he wasn’t satisfied. He got respect, but he wanted more. He had the acclaim, but he wanted that ten fold.. And you can’t fault him for that.
Tree’s accomplished a lot with very little in terms of push and budget, so in 2014 he’s coming for what’s rightfully his. Something tells us Tree will be on a rampage this year, and he’s starting this new calendar off on the right foot with the @MCTREEG EP, which he’s partnered with automotive company Scion for. The first two leaks have been some of Tree’s best work to date — he’s back and out for blood. It’s going to be another big year for Tree, mark our words.
