After Chicago was criminally shut out completely from last year’s XXL Freshmen 10 cover (with the exception of a Keef mention), it’s only right that we dominate the nominations for this year’s coveted 10th spot. The 10th spot is the slot that ALL fans get to vote for, and this year it includes an astonishing 11 nominations from Chicago artists.
All I’m saying is we better win this 10th spot, and at least get 3-4 artists on the cover. I said the same thing last year but ended up eating my words. Let’s hope I don’t go two for two.
