FSD: John is there a Get Happy 1.0?
John Walt: Is there one? No. But the name, Get Happy 2.0, I was doing two projects, just trying out new things because I’ve been going through different ways as far as me musically. So I’m doing one project, Get Happy, and doing Get Happy The EP, two different sounds pretty much. So I kinda clashed and made like a tape.
FSD: Will there be a Get Happy 3.0?
John Walt: No, I think we’ll leave it at 2.0 but I have a new project, Dinner With John.
FSD:Barring any financial constraints, who would you guys like to work with in the industry?
Melo: Pharrell. I want one of them Jay-Z songs, where he just sex everything up and all I gotta do is spit some hot shit. I want one of them.
John Walt: R. Kelly.
Saba: I would work with however many of the Bone Thugz-N-Harmony memebers I could get in the same room together. That’s probably going to happen eventually, I look forward to that.
FSD: What’s next for everyone in Pivot? What projects do you guys have coming out soon?
Melo: I’m working on my tape, Melodramatics. I’ve been cooking that up recently, we got some hot shit, at the same time me and bro doing some stuff together. You can catch me anywhere trying to work with anybody trying to do some work.
Saba: I’m dropping ComfortZone in July so that’s going to be cool. Mick Jenkins is going to be on it and NoName Gypsy is going to be on it.
Squeaks: Me, right now I’m an intern actually for Private Stock so in a couple months you’ll be seeing “mixed and mastered by Squeaks.”
John Walt: Dinner With John and also we’re going to be working on a new Pivot tape.
