Lupe Fiasco grabbed a hook and beat from his label-mate and road dawg, Ty Dolla $ign, for his latest single “Next To It” — and the two crafted quite the record. “Next To It” includes classic Lupe messaging and wisdom, but Ty’s beat and hook paired with Lu’s relaxed flow make it a true Trojan horse. Substance delivered slyly.
There’s serious chemistry between Lupe and Dolla $ign, and “Next To It,” is quite possibly Lupe’s best work of the past few years. Seriously, this is a fantastic single.
