A few weeks back, Minister Louis Farrakhan held a city wide outreach, inviting influential Chicago rappers, industry representatives and street figures to an undisclosed location for round-table discussions on how to curb violence in Chicago and abroad. Longtime friend of FSD, Antwone Muhammad b.k.a. Twone Gabz, played a big part in helping spearhead and organize the event, so we reached out to him for details and to also relay the message of they’ve set out to accomplish.
On Aug 17th & 18th, Minister Louis Farrakhan invited Hip-Hop Artists & Street Organization Leaders to a two day event that began with a powerful message he delivered entitled “Troubled World & What Should We Be Doing;” followed by a dinner with everyone and ended with a group discussion the next day to address the violence in Chicago and abroad. Minister Farrakhan also addressed some of the beefs throughout the music and street community. Some of the artists in attendance to this event included Jay Electronica, Talib Kweli, No I.D., GLC, King Louie, Katie Got Bandz, G Count, Spenzo, Treated Crew, Hustle Simmons, Lil Reese and Fredo Santana. Antwone Muhammad a.k.a Twone Gabz was instrumental in helping to organize this event along with others. This two day event produced a surge of inspiration to many that attended.
