Congratulations are in order for another one of the city’s own. Southside emcee God, who hit the scene in 2014 with his Before The Bible and The Bible projects (which I hope you didn’t sleep on), has joined forces with Three 6 Mafia co-founder and Taylor Gang’s own Juicy J.
FSD reached out to God and creative director Sharod Simpson, who had this to say:
The partnership that God and Money Block has with Juicy J is something we’ve been waiting on for almost a year now. Out of all the people that approached us with situations, (DJ Khaled, 2 Chainz, JD, Clark Kent, etc.) this situation was the only one that gave us free range to do whatever we wanted to do. They liked what we were doing and they wanted to get it out there on a larger stage. They were also the only ones that made a move without procrastinating and worked around the legal situation that God was in. God has no affiliation with Taylor Gang, besides the fact that Juicy J is with Taylor Gang and that’s just family now. We have a lot of work to do and we plan on moving right away… one small step for God, one giant leap for Money Block as a whole.
Pretty dope, right? Much congrats to God for that move.
To hold everyone over until he’s ready unload the new music he’s been working on, G-O-D offers a quick clip for his take on Chief Keef’s “Faneto” which he’s calling “With The Block.” If you need the mp3, you can download it here thanks to Juice Man. More from God is on the way, so keep it locked.
Not too cool with a dude calling himself God but whatever…
