Writing a post for JDott right now is tough to do. It’s taken me nearly an hour to even figure out how to kick it off correctly. But his work must be seen and heard. His music must live on. And this unreleased video only adds to his legacy, which in my opinion, is far from over. The amount of love I’ve seen friends, family and fans show JDott is quite remarkable. People from every corner of the city have emerged on social media to speak on his memory and elaborate on just how great of a person he was. He was loved by many, and left a footprint on this scene and the city.
As we told you on Sunday, JDott sadly succumbed to a long battle with colon cancer over the weekend. He was 31. He was a strong soul and one of the nicest people I’ve encountered since my time in the business. Very gracious and always had a smile on his face. So it pains me to have to premiere his final video for “O.D.,” which was shot in Los Angeles with close friends DJ O-Zone and Sense Hernandez.
This is the final video from Trife’s final project and documentary, TRIFE, which were both completed prior to his passing. He will be missed and may he rest peacefully. Watch it below and please share with your friends.
