Common f/ Stevie Wonder – Black America Again

Posted on September 22, 2016September 22, 2016 by Andrew Barber

Screen Shot 2016-09-22 at 9.03.08 AM

Produced by Karriem Riggins and Robert Glasper

Featuring Stevie Wonder. Esperanza Spalding on bass. Scratches by J Rock. Strings by Patrick Warren and ad libs from Chuck D and MC Lyte.

A few weeks back, Common dropped by Windy City Live to premiere a verse from his powerful new single “Black America Again” — which just so happens to be the title track from his forthcoming album of the same, dropping via Artium/Def Jam later this year.

This record comes at the perfect time, as Black America is currently under attack — by politics, police and a corrupt system. Com is using his platform to spread awareness and share history, and let the people know where he stands. Real rap for a real time. Watch the clip and hear the song for the first time below. AAHH Fest tickets are available right here for Sunday’s show.
