Stream The Cool Kids new album ‘Special Edition Grandmaster Deluxe’

Andrew Barber

I feel so tied into this album, I damn near feel like I’m releasing it. Ha! I was the first press guy to hear it back in July, and last night I had the honor of hosting/moderating their listening session at Soho House. In my opinion, this album is their best piece of work to date. Forget The Bake Sale, and pretend When Fish Ride Bicycles ever happened. This is their magnum opus. The two of them put both feet into this one, from the raps to the beats to the musicality of the entire thing. It’s so well thought out and constructed, and is a very special body of work. They literally put their blood, sweat and tears into this and it’s finally ready for the world to enjoy. You can hear the perfection in every noise, rap, verse and sound. It’s damn near science.

I suggest you stop whatever you’re doing right now and press play. Then play it again. Then share it with your friends. It’s easily one of the best projects of the year, and believe it’s brilliant from front to back. I’m super proud of these guys and they did not disappoint. Like I always say, without The Cool Kids, there’s no FSD — so celebrate with them tonight with Special Edition Grandmaster Deluxe. 16 legendary tracks.
