Lin-Z impresses with new single “Grown”

Quentin Yarolem

Lin-Z is one of the most interesting artists coming out of Chicago right now. Her soulful, raspy voice makes any verse unique on a surface level, but what really separates her from the pack is her ability to cover subject matter that is both personal but relatable. On “Grown”, Lin-Z considers the concept of being an adult and what makes a person grown. Whether it’s paying bills, begging for meals or dodging bullets, Lin-Z is grown.
