For years, rappers have gone with intergalactic themes when describing their personas and their music. From Outkast’s ATLiens, to 8-Ball & MJG’s “Space Age Pimpin” to Wayne’s continuous claims of not being a human being — space themes have run rampant and rap. But leave it up to Towkio to be the first rapper to actually put his money where his mouth is, as the Chicago artist took to Twitter today to announce that he’s dropping his album from space tomorrow. Literally.
Towkio plans to drop his long-awaited WWW project from 100,000 feet in the air tomorrow — the perfect theme for his space boogie project Full details haven’t been released yet, but it appears the drop is happening at 11:11am CST.
Hopefully this stream this. I gotta applaud this stunt. Adventure is his middle name. Very well done. Stay tuned for more details.
