Welcome to Full Service Sessions with Fake Shore Drive

Andrew Barber

Calling all rappers, artists, emcees and music tastemakers. To kick off 2021, I’ve partnered with xwave, a new music destination co-founded by Pusha-T, to bring you Full Service Sessions with Fake Shore Drive.

On February 19th, I will select one artist from the top 20 artists on the xwave leaderboard to mentor and help put their next project together. This is what the Full Service Session with Fake Shore Drive is all about. This “full service” will include advice, direction on creative strategy, help picking songs, help with A&R and promotion on my FSD digital platforms. So yes, I will help the winning artist put their next project together from A-Z and get it prepared for release. A full service, if you will.

Tastemakers who get involved will be scored and listed on the xwave leaderboard. The top tastemakers will receive a limited edition Fake Shore Drive skate deck that Hebru Brantley designed for me some years ago. These skate decks have never been released and are extremely rare. Under 20 of them are in existence on the entire planet.

What is xwave?

The latest venture from Heir, a company co-founded by Pusha-T and developed by a seasoned team of music and technology experts.  Xwave connects artists with tastemakers giving artists the opportunity to connect with new fans, get valuable feedback on their music, and receive once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to advance their game.  And for the tastemakers, it gives you the opportunity to flex your A&R and music discovery muscle by listening, rating and commenting on the new music the artists have submitted.

The concept is simple.

Artists submit their music via a YouTube or Soundcloud link on the xwave app to receive ratings and feedback in real time from our esteemed audience of passionate music fans and experts.   Tastemakers listen, rate, and comment on music submitted by artists.  Rating, comments and engagement are calculated into a score that ranks both artists and tastemakers on leaderboards.

Taking part in this xwave campaign puts you in the running for major rewards on our artist and tastemaker leaderboards.

A Full Service Session with Fake Shore Drive includes a complete mentorship with Andrew Barber that includes advice on music and production, guidance on A&R, and promotion on Fake Shore Drive platforms.   Andrew Barber will select one artist from the top 20 eligible artists listed on the leaderboard at 12 noon PT on February 19, 2021.

Three (3) tastemakers will be selected to receive a limited edition Fake Shore Drive skate deck designed by Hebru Brantley years ago.  The #1 eligible tastemaker listed on the leaderboard at 12noon PT on January 22, 2021, February 5, 2021, and February 22, 2021 will be awarded one of three skate decks.

This is it. This is the future. Welcome to xwave. Now let’s make some history together and see who will win the first-ever Full Service Session with Fake Shore Drive.
