Watch Izzaldin’s dope new video for “Wuhan Theory”

Andrew Barber

I’ve known Izz for many moons. He’s been the homie since college, but over the years we’ve fallen out of a touch a bit. But the good news is we recently reconnected and he passed along some new music. He’s currently living in Paris, and has been living under strict curfew restrictions since Covid hit last year. Life has been weird for all of us, but Izz had to literally sneak out of his crib to film this in the wee hours of the morning to avoid the long arm of the law. I love the video, the concept and the track. Watch it below.

Wuhan Theory was filmed in Paris and shot during the third confinement in curfew hours. The isolation is a reference to the feelings of loneliness and uncertainty of a future that has a dramatically different outlook based on the current state of the world. The artist Izzaldin ponders how we arrived in this condition and what is in play behind the curtain. The call to remain curious and to probe vigorously to find answers and solutions to the real problems that ail humanity. He feels it is necessary and an obligation as an artist to transmit a message that beckons the listener to think independently.
