Despite what social media and the rest of the internets would like you to believe, there are still plenty of great rappers rapping. And some of them weren’t even alive for the heralded “golden era.” One of the most lyrically dense pieces of work I’ve digested in some time comes from the 16 year-old Westsider, Lucki Eck$, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite new rappers. The track in question is “Everything Out$ide,” and you likely haven’t heard it yet, because it hasn’t yet been released. But I can promise you it will be worth the wait.
Lucki’s debut, Alternative Trap, isn’t due out until sometime in July, but you’ll be getting music from him here and there in the meantime. For now there’s these.
