Lil Durk Ordered Held On $100k Bond For Weapons Charge

DURK

Lil Durk is being held on $100k bond for yesterday’s gun charge, but Durk’s lawyer maintains his innocence. DNA was on hand to report:

Lil Durk is being represented by one of Chicago’s more animated criminal defense attorneys, Sam Adam, Jr., who said he has nine affidavits from witnesses swearing to Lil Durk’ innocence. One of the witnesses, Adam said, admitted the gun was his.

Lil Durk has recently signed with a major label, but hasn’t been paid yet, Adam said. A recent Lil Durk video posted to YouTube “calls out the media and the police for targeting him,” said another attorney, Mohammed Ahmed.

“When you’ve got money and you’re a young black man, you’re unfairly targeted,” Ahmed said. “It’s kind of like they treated Elvis Presley.”

Durk was arrested at 3am Wednesday night in Englewood, and is being charged with possession of a loaded .40-caliber handgun. We’ll keep you in the loop on his proceedings.
