First and foremost, congrats are in order to the homies Simeon and Race of The Primeridian, who celebrate 20 years in the game this year. Wow. True, they’ve been making music separately for even longer than that, but the PM as a posse turns 20 this year — and that’s no small feat.
So in celebration of hitting this massive milestone, the duo has decided to cut loose a slew of unreleased joints and rarities for the fans — old and new — who have stuck with them over the years. And today they kick off the campaign with the Tree Tha Scarecrow-featured “Are You Ready…? (Rush).”
The question is are you ready for this? And I do believe you are. Check out underneath, and stay tuned for more loosies and a full project due out sooner than later.
Produced by Mulatto Patriot. Keys by Diggs Duke.
Prime Time is back, and today they’ve joined forces and have brought some friends along for the ride. Those friends being Neak, Nida Nasheeda and Mulatto Patriot. It’s a family affair, per usual. “Stop On By” serves as the first experience of Race’s forthcoming solo EP, Baked Goods. If you can’t stand the heat, well, you know the rest.
While most know Race Bannon of The Primeridian as just a rapper, only a few select individuals know he’s also a beast on the beats. He’s laced the likes of Pugs Atomz and Rashid Hadee (most notably “Coolest Dudes”), and today, per the recommendation of Hadee, he’s unleashing his first beat tape: NASCAR Race Tracks. Get it? I know you see that synergy in the title.
It’s 14 of his most recent concoctions, so hit the jump to check them out. Drive
slow fast, homie.
Directed and Filmed by Dave Galaxie
Man, this one is kinda complicated, so I’m going to pass the mic to Race and let him explain:
After 3 tours in the United States military, Capt. Richard Phelix finds himself back home making the difficult task of adjusting to civilian life. Capt. Phelix, a 7 year EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Specialist has seen his share of near death encounters and watched first hand several members of his platoon lose their lives. One of the most dangerous jobs as a soldier, the stress and long term psychological effects can be traumatic. After being diagnosed with PTSD, we find Capt. Phelix riding the daily roller coaster of one war he may never win.
Directed by Kevin Edward Epperson
This isn’t just a music video, this is a mini-movie. Not many move me. But this is dope. This is the latest from Race Bannon of The Primeridian.
