So a few months ago you heard Mikkey Halsted’s “Runnin’ My City”, which appeared on The Dark Room and featured Bun B, Crooked I, Killer Mike, Chip Tha Ripper, Gillie Da Kid and Mistah FAB. A stellar lineup and equally dope song. A short while later, another version appeared featuring a new verse from Bump J tacked on. Even better.
Well, what you may not have known, is that this song originally belonged to Bump, and was set to appear on the project he was working on prior to the pen. After his incarceration, Bump passed the torch (err… track) to Mikk and let him run with it for his project. Luckily, we’ve been able to get our hands on what Bump had in store, and it’s nothing short of spectacular.
So without further ado, here’s what was to be Bump’s “Runnin’ My City”, featuring two new verses from the Chief. As an added bonus, SC has provided us with the instrumental of the track, which could possibly go down as the most fought over beat of Chicago’s new age hip-hop history. Seriously. Now you can all attempt to run the city. Ha!

As much as I’m a Bump fan I gotta agree with Lenny. He had his time & fucked it up. About time he gets out nobody will care. There’s to much talent coming out and he will only be a distant memory

As far as Bump he has skill but tired of hearing these old records talking about the same things.

there was alot people attempting to take ownership per say of the beat after bump got locked thats what andrew is referring to… no need to go into details of who as things were worked out behind the scenes
