Paypa – Controversy

Posted on June 27, 2011 by Andrew Barber

You may remember a few months ago we reported that Paypa’s (not of Project Mayhem) label heads were indicted for running a drug ring. Paypa finally speaks on the issue with his latest track “Controversy.”

Chicago emcee PAYPA was last spotted in the news for something other than his music when the owners of his record label Behind Da Scenes Entertainment were indicted in a drug ring. The rapper – now signed to SRC – has surpassed the controversy he was wrongfully thrown into and discusses moving past it on his new track “Controversy”. The cut, produced by Evan “Emac” Palmer will appear on PAYPA’s upcoming mixtape that serves as a precursor to his long-awaited debut album.
