Last week, we debuted our brand new series on the site: FSD Beats. Young Chop kicked things off in a major way, as countless submissions were clocked in its aftermath. As I explained, FSD Beats sets out to build awareness on Chicago’s top up-and-coming producers — something we have an abundance of. No need to seek other cities for your sound — we have the cream of the crop right here. We’ll be offering up new instrumentals from rising producers free of charge, for you to rock over as you please (and so you’ll stop rapping over “I’m On One”). If you like what you hear, please reach out to the beatsmiths to inquire about how you can work with them.
Today’s submission comes from 20-year-old phenom, Chase N Dough. Inspired by the likes of Lokey, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and Kanye West; Chase has laced some of your favorite King Louie records (“He’s On Fire,” “Roll Up Da Dope”), and has a handful of standouts on Lou’s upcoming Dope & Shrimp project (“Goldy With The Pimpin”). With joints in the can with L.E.P. Bogus Boys, Sir Michael Rocks and EBone Hoodrich; 2012 is shaping up to be a big year for Chase.
Chase recently released his B*tch I’m Dope Pt 2: The Dope Effect mixtape, and created a production group with Lokey and a handful of other talented beat makers and cinematographers.
Chase’s freebie beat is entitled “Bulls (#MJ)” and is inspired by the Bulls’ United Center opening segment. Yeah, you’ve heard it, but never like this.
