FSD: Speaking of those sessions with Mikkey, Twista and Traxster — what came from that?
Yung Berg: I got a record with Mikkey called “Your Love” which is crazy — I produced it and wrote the hook. Twista got three records from me, one of them being “Uplift Me.” Also “All About My Business,” which are both for his new project. I wish y’all could’ve been a fly on the wall for those seasons. Very crazy.
FSD: What are your thoughts on the new Chicago movement?
Yung Berg: I love what’s going on in Chicago right now. I’m really happy for Lil Durk and Chief Keef and all of them. I know a lot of people are pissed that these kids are winning so big right now. It all happened so organically, too. I mean, this kid became the biggest thing in rap while on house arrest, just recording songs on a computer with Young Chop. It doesn’t get much realer than that. Doing these big records on a fucking PC on Fruity Loops — man that’s organic. It ain’t forced. Like I did with “Sexy Lady” — it just kinda popped out of nowhere.
Being 16 or 17 with that much money? That’s the fucking American dream. That’s the ultimate high. Being in high school and being able to cash out like that? I experienced that feeling myself with my DMX situation. I’m also happy about the producers — from Young Chop to Paris Beuller, to Arch Tha Boss. It’s one thing to not be knowledgeable about how to move in the business, because everyone wants to be a rapper. But it’s good to see the young guys locking in and doing whatever it takes to win. Chief Keef couldn’t even leave his house to shoot a video and he blew the fuck up — straight from his Grandma’s living room. I think that’s so cool.
FSD: I’ve seen you reach out to a few of these guys on Twitter as well. Have you had any interaction with them? Planning to work with any of them?
Yung Berg: Shout out to Lil Durk — we’ve got something coming real, real soon. I sent him a bunch of music, and he told me which ones he wanted, so expect coming soon.
FSD: You can relate to being young and being thrown into the industry…
Yung Berg: I was 15 when I signed my first deal with DMX and Bloodline Records.

Unquestionably believe that which you said. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the web the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they plainly don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
