FSD Feature: Johnny P’s 15 Best Features

Posted on September 25, 2013 by FSD Staff

6. Twista f/ Johnny P “Chocolate Fe’s & Redbones” (2005)

Back in 2005, Atlantic Records did the dummy and released “Girl Tonite” featuring Trey Songz as T’s first single from The Day After. Not to say that track wasn’t dope, because it was, but the shining moment was Twista’s reunion with Johnny P, “Chocolate Fe’s & Redbones.” It was an extension of what T had done on “Slow Jamz,” and a throwback to Twista and Johnny P from the Mobstability era. A missed opportunity? Revisionist history says so. The public wanted to hear Twista with his favorite hookman, Johnny P, again. Their chemistry was missed. Twista was able to recapture this moment when he released “Wetter” as a single in 2009, which has become his biggest hit of the last seven years.

One track that should be on the list if it wasn’t so hard to find is Do or Die’s “Playa Like Me and You (Remix)” They used to play that on WGCI back then. Danny Boy was on that too alongside Johnny P.
