Red Vision of Midi Mafia, the production team responsible for 50 Cent’s “21 Questions” reached out to Bebe via Twitter a while back and inquired about working with her. The outcome was Midi Mafia producing four tracks on Fashionably Late including “Roll Wit Me,” which Bebe states was one of the first songs recorded for the tape and helped set the whole tone of how she wanted the project to sound.

Bebe’s animated yet hypnotic voice blends perfectly on these tracks produced by a few Grammy-nominated producers, making her first tape well worth that year-long wait. “I’m a huge Destiny’s Child fan. I know that has nothing to do with rap but as far as female artists’ inspiration they do it for me,” says Bebe, “I also feel like I grew up with Jay Z. I studied The Blueprint album from front to back, and it has always been a huge motivation for me” adds Bebe. In the future, Bebe wants to curate a freestyle cypher including the hottest female rappers from Chicago, and she wants us to be on the lookout for that and her second mixtape which she is currently working on now. However, with this solid outing under her belt, she’s already begun to take flight.
