1. Hollywood Holt & Mano – Throw A Kit (2007)
Classic early era Treated Crew. Cameos galore. This was one of, if not the first, Treated video on YouTube, which featured the Crew flipping Rich Boy’s “Throw Some D’s” into an ode to Chicago moped culture, and their Murder Club bike gang. This was the moment this rising scene began to catch national attention, and we consider this a bit of a breakthrough moment. The technology might look a little dated now, but it doesn’t get much rawer than this. This was a very dope era, and there wasn’t another collective doing or rapping about anything like this in rap at the time. True pioneers. Plus the video looked like it was a lot of fun to film. Very rarely can artists bring you into their world and make you want to join it, but this was one of those rare occasions.
