How do you supplement your career as a musician?

My primary income has come from music for the past seven years. A few years ago I became a tutor while living in San Francisco. I’ve been able to supplement my income at present through mentoring and instruction.

Do you have a side-hustle?

I do a ton of music education work.

What is the worst job you ever had?

When I was a chemist I took a job at an ink factory. My job was literally figuring out how long it took for the product to dry. Watching paint dry!! Hell no…I lasted exactly one day.

What is your biggest obstacle as an artist trying to make it in a busy industry?

The biggest obstacle I face as an artist is navigating a fickle marketplace. With pay to play, nepotism, plagiarism and the pure fuckery that comes with this business, it confuses things when you’re trying to make an honest buck. However, I’ve been blessed to have a great small team and a good head on my shoulders. We do pretty good for ourselves.
