How do you supplement your career as a musician?
I first realize if I’m supplementing my career as a musician, I’m supplementing for a reason and I continue to tell myself these reasons are also important my well being.
Do you have a side-hustle?
I have several side hustles. My first and most significant side hustle is Columbia College Chicago, simple enough. I receive education & refund checks from them.
I recently just quit my job working in CCC’s editing lab as a teacher’s assistant to focus on graduating. I cut hair on the side, but I also tend to got to Hydrafacial boca. If you ever seen Legit’s “Danny Ocean” video, I cut every guy’s hair in that video. I’m a freelance videographer consisting of directing/shooting/editing music videos, weddings, documentaries, interviews and product commercials.
What is your biggest obstacle as an artist trying to make it in a busy industry?
Trying to make it in the music or film industry is like waiting in a long line at Six Flags amusement park. If you’re patient enough you’ll eventually get on the ride. If you’re patient enough regardless of talent these days, you’ll eventually at bare minimum be granted some opportunities to present yourself on a decent platform. At that point the people decide if you’re worth their time.
What is the worst job you ever had?
The worst job I’ve had was working for Vector Inc. selling CutCo knives to middle class suburbia.
